About Synesso Commercial Coffee Machines
Synesso is an American espresso machine manufacturer based in Seattle, Washington, founded in 2004 by engineer Mark Barnett. After leaving a tenure with La Marzocco USA, Barnett set out to build a more thermally stable commercial espresso machine than anything available at the time. Working from his garage with a second mortgage funding the project, he and his wife Sandy built the first Synesso machine, which was quickly dubbed ""Engineered Perfection"" by leading coffee professionals.
Today, Synesso machines are hand-built in Seattle and used by specialty coffee shops in over 45 countries. The brand is known for exceptional build quality, long-term reliability and advanced pressure profiling capabilities, particularly through the MVP Hydra line, which gives baristas independent control over each group head's pump, motor and brew boiler. Synesso is now part of the Middleby Corporation, though the machines continue to be manufactured in Washington state.
