The C-Automatik 54 is ECM's entry-level on-demand grinder, built to pair with their home espresso machine range without requiring the counter space or budget of a larger unit. At 130mm wide it fits comfortably next to an Appartamento or Classika, and the 54mm flat steel burrs produce a consistent espresso grind without the heat buildup associated with smaller, faster-spinning burrs.
Three operating modes cover the main ways home baristas actually grind coffee. Select mode grinds a timed single or double dose at the press of a button. Barista mode activates the grinder while the portafilter is locked in and stops automatically when it is removed, giving you hands-free operation for a cleaner workflow. Single Dose mode grinds for as long as the button is held, useful when dosing by weight rather than time. Grind adjustment is stepless via a precision worm gear, which gives more fine-tuning range than stepped adjustment systems.
